Are you considering moving to Leduc? It’s a great community, thriving, growing, modern but has strong ties to it’s origin.
Leduc was established in 1891. Leduc was incorporated as a village in 1899, and became a town in 1906. It became a city in 1983; by that time its population had reached 12,000. Currently Leduc has a population of 37,300 (Leduc City Website 2024).
The age distribution of Leduc is spread evenly with 28% under 20yrs , 42% between 20 and 49yrs, 20% between 50 and 69yrs and approximately 10% above 70 years of age. Leduc hosts major shopping centers and close proximity to the new Airport outlet mall. This includes all the major and luxury brands. With all the major shopping do remember to support local and visit the older downtown on 50th avenue, this is where you will find many of the city’s small business owners and shops. Employment in Leduc is predominantly blue collar workers and as such has a more small town vibe with a very friendly community atmosphere.
With recreation centers, outdoor skating rinks, parks and many miles of walking trails throughout the city there are many activities for families and active enthusiasts to partake in.
The future growth of Leduc will extend southward on the west side of the QE2 Highway, with Royal links opening soon for new construction. The city is seeking to double the annexed land and we anticipate much growth in the next 20 years.
The investment and lifestyle in Leduc is well worth your time. We hope you join Us!
